Privacy policy

Warung Celebes, located at Jan Pieter Heijestraat 131 in Amsterdam, is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this policy.

Which data is processed

Via the contact form: your name, e-mail address and the content of your message. You provide this data yourself, so that we can contact you about, for example, an order or catering.

In addition, the web server keeps technical log files (including IP address and requested pages) for security and troubleshooting. The website is hosted on a server environment within the European Union.

For what purpose

The form data is used exclusively to contact you and to handle your question or request. It is not used for marketing and not shared with third parties, unless legally required. E-mail — such as the notification Warung Celebes receives when you submit the contact form — is delivered via a specialised European e-mail service provider, established within the European Union, that acts as a processor solely on behalf of Warung Celebes. We provide the names of our processors on request.

Cookies and statistics

This website does not place cookies and there is therefore no cookie banner. Links to external services such as Uber Eats are ordinary links; on those websites the terms of those parties apply.

We do measure how many people visit the website and which pages are read most. We use statistics software for this, running on our own server within the European Union. The data stays there and is not shared with any other party.

• no cookies are placed and nothing is stored on your device;
• your IP address is anonymised before it is stored;
• we do first derive an approximate location from your IP address (country, region and town), using a database on our own server — no data is sent to another party for this;
• we also record which pages you viewed, for how long, which website or search engine you arrived from, and what device, browser and screen size you use;
• we do not track you across other websites and build no advertising profile of you;
• if your browser sends the "Do Not Track" setting, we do not measure your visit;
• individual visit data is deleted after 180 days; after that only totals remain.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a well-functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because nothing is placed on or read from your device, no consent is required.

Retention period

Form submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your question and are deleted afterwards. Technical log files are automatically cleaned up after a short period.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. To do so, contact us at info@warungcelebes.nl or +31 20 684 43 36. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
